Bathrooms can be one of the hardest rooms in your house to personalize. Unlike the bedroom or office, the bathroom may be one of the most used rooms in the house. Cleanliness is next to godliness, and one of the best ways to make your bathroom look clean is to get it organized!

There are a lot of little things that you can do to instantly make your bathroom look a whole lot better with little effort. A lot of people do not realize how accessorized your bathroom can get, from shower curtains to toothbrush holders, and even shower caddies to soap dispensers and so forth. We want to share with you five great tips that will get your bathroom looking stylish and clean!

Pick a Theme for Your Bathroom

The best thing you can do when it comes to organizing and sprucing up your bathroom is choosing a theme that you want to display, whether it be nautical, rustic, Zen, or beach inspired. Once you have a clear-cut vision for your bathroom, you can begin buying accessories that will promote that theme and unify your bathroom’s look!

Consider Buying a Toilet Rack

This is for those people who find their bathroom drowning in hair care products, lotion, soap, makeup, aftershave, and so on: consider buying a toilet rack that stylishly fits over the toilet and adds extra shelf space without actually taking up space. You can even put decorative towels or runners across the shelves to add coloring and vibrancy, but your toilet rack will be the place where you feature your most frequently used self-care products. The point of the toilet rack is to make things look simple, minimal, and vibrant.

Buy Baskets and Containers

So you went out, and you bought the toilet rack to display your favorite self-care products, but now you have a whole bunch of half-empty bottles of skin care, hair care, lotion and soap bottles that are sitting on the bathroom floor waiting to be organized. What do you do? Get some baskets and containers to put your leftovers in and put the basket in the cabinet under the sink. An upside to this is that, once you are done re-organizing your bathroom (or organizing it for the first time), you bathroom will look clean inside and out. Try to get baskets and containers that will match the other accessories in your bathroom as well: just because the containers will be stored out of sight when you walk in does not mean that it will never be seen.

Get a Toothbrush Holder and Soap Dispenser

Another thing you can do to organize your bathroom and make it look pleasing is to buy matching toothbrush holders, soap dispensers, and other accessories that will cultivate a theme in your bathroom. Not only will these accessories help you organize your toiletry items, but they will also help you add color accents and character to your bathroom décor. Even if you are the type of person who prefers bar soap as opposed to liquid, there are whole bathroom sets that can help you build a theme in your bathroom and get organized at the same time.

Swap Out Your Shower Curtain

One of the main highlights in your bathroom is the shower curtain, so make sure that you swap it out often and choose a shower curtain that matches the other accessories in your bathroom: the idea here is to buy things that add to the theme of your bathroom, whatever you choose that to be. Also, if your buy a plastic shower curtain, it is one of the first things that will accumulate mold since it directly blocks water from splashing onto the floor, so make sure to replace as needed to keep your bathroom looking crisp and clean!

Keep in mind, as you work on coordinating your bathroom, you do not have to compromise style points for organization. On the contrary, organizing your bathroom and adding accessories with a theme in mind will add to the appearance of your bathroom and will benefit you in the long run because you will have less tidying up to do!
